Wishin' I'd had the video camera moment

This morning I had a doctor's appointment to go to so Jacob and I were headed down the sidewalk towards the dr.'s office. The sidewalk was lined with trees, and Jacob was running at top speed like always. He looked up just in time to go around the first tree then his eyes went down and he kept going. Just seconds after I called, "Watch out" to him he ran smack into the second tree without slowing down. He bounced backwards and landed on his little behind. Tears came immediately, and I tried my very hardest to stifle the giggles and give him TLC. But it was so hard. I was laughing pretty hard while he was crying even harder.

Speaking of dr's appointments, things are going well. I'm feeling pretty good for the most part and am excited to find out what we're having next week. Jacob was so cute today. He's always asking questions and wants to know what everything is and what it does. He said to the nurse, "I'm going to hear my baby today." When the doctor came in to check the heartbeat he kept saying, "I hear the baby, I hear it mommy." He told me this morning about which animals he will share which is a big deal for him. He doesn't let just anyone play with his animals. And he's still set on having a sister. He likes to tell me that he's having a baby and that it's a sister. We'll see if he gets what he wants.

We just got back from a fun weekend away in St. George/Las Vegas. Unfortunately, I didn't get hardly any pictures. And the ones I did get are really bad. A new camera is on my wish list. I will post the ok ones and more details later.

He really is clean sometimes....

Since Jacob is pretty much caked in dirt and sweat everyday now, I wanted to get some pictures of him yesterday while he was in clean clothes with a clean face and his hair combed.

Spur of the Moment

A couple of days ago Jacob and I took a spur of the moment trip to the zoo. He has been asking to go for awhile now, and I finally relented. I decided we should go before it gets too hot. Jarom laughed when I told him that since we've barely hit 70. Well 70 feels like 85 to me. Oh man, we're in for a long summer if we don't get some AC ASAP. So the zoo was fun. It was not crowded, the temperature was perfect, the animals were active, and Jacob couldn't get enough. He is such an animal lover so the zoo is heaven on earth for him. His dad told him when he gets older he can go to the zoo and help take care of the elephants. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. I do have pictures, but I am struggling to keep my eyes open (please help me remember I'm too old to stay up til 1:00 am) and don't have the energy to walk upstairs and get the camera. Just Life

I wish I had some exciting news or funny stories to tell, but I don't. Life has been good for us. We've been kite flying, park playing, walk taking, movie watching, yard working, bed hopping, haircutting & bathroom praying. And I don't have a single picture to show it. If you're wondering about the bed hopping, here's the scoop: a few nights ago Jacob decided he wanted to sleep downstairs in one of the bunk beds. We thought we'd let him try it for one night. He's slept downstairs the past 4 nights and now he wants to move his bedroom downstairs. Are you kidding me? You're only two years old kid. The upside is that it feels like we have the house to ourselves when we go to bed. Jacob is a noisy sleeper. If you're wondering about the bathroom praying, that's just me hoping and praying that the bathroom gets done sometime before October. The bathtub was giving Jarom major stress, but I think we got that fixed this weekend. That's all for now.
