3 Months

Here is what her hair looks like when we comb it after a bath:

And it's still flat two days later.

Here is what her hair looks like when I towel dry it after a bath:

She is still the sweetest baby. She only cries when she's tired, hungry, or wet. She really does not like to be awake when she's tired, and she lets you know. Still sleeping great and growing fast.

Cabin Fever

This kid has it bad. He has endless energy, and I am having a hard time helping him burn it everyday. I need some new ideas-quick before he drives me crazy!

This...

is why I don't bake. I can't even make chocolate chip cookies. I followed the recipe exactly, and they didn't turn out. On the other hand, I made homemade tomato basil soup that was fantastic!!

Love Them

I sang to my baby girl this morning and heard her giggle for the first time. Nothing else like it!

Grateful

For many things but mostly for my happy, healthy family.

Once again, I am reminded of how much I have and how little I really have to complain about. Certainly being up with my baby for an hour and a half at 5:00 am instead of sleeping is nothing compared to what this family is going through. Jarom served in the mission field with this guy, and he found out two days before Christmas that his 8 year old son has Pontine Glioma, an inoperable brain tumor on the brain stem. He was given 3 months to live with no treatments. With treatments, they are hoping to extend that to 9-12 months.

Please add them to your prayers!

Another Year to Remember...I hope

I was just looking through my blog posts from the past year and feeling grateful that I have them because I'm horrible at writing in my journal consistently. A lot of the little things that I wrote about I had already forgotten--how sad!! So I'm going to do better at blogging even if no one else reads it. We were very blessed as a family in 2009. We were able to spend quite a bit of time with our families, reconnected with old friends, and made new ones. The biggest blessing was Mya coming to our home, of course. It was a fun and adventurous year!

Here are some things I am looking forward to in 2010:
Taking Jacob to Disneyland--Mya too, but she is too little to appreciate it!
Riding my mountain bike
Trail running
Hiking
Trip to St. George with friends
Camping
Skiing--hopefully it will start snowing soon!
Fun things with family
Did I mention riding my mountain bike? I really want to ride it!!
Watching my kids continue to grow and learn
Dates with Jarom
There's lots of things I am excited for this year. I know it will be a good one!!

Just what I needed

A good laugh....

I went in to check on Jacob in the bathroom and found this. I'm sure this will add fire to Jarom's argument that we need a magazine rack in the bathroom.
