I always need help!

This time about gardening. I'm itching to plant some bushes in a couple areas of our yard because they are driving me crazy. So I need some suggestions on what to plant. The beds are under our pine trees and are shaded 99% of the time. So they need to be shade plants and easy to maintain. I'm already cursing the pine trees, and Jarom thinks they are so cool. They aren't that pretty and they make a huge mess.

Also I need to know how to kill tree roots without killing the grass. We have them all through our grass.

We also need to figure out how to cut down a couple of the cottonwooods in the back that look they are going to fall over any day.

I also curse whoever planted all the trees then didn't take care of them.

My Latest Dielmma...I'm Torn

Jacob will be turning 3 in just a few months so that means I have to start thinking about preschool for him. I thought I had it all planned as we were going to do a co-op, but those plans have fallen through. So now I have to decide if my child is ready to go to a structured preschool.
PROS
He already knows the alphabet and all the sounds.
He can count to 10.
He knows some shapes and most colors.
He talks really well.
I would be able to go grocery shopping ALONE.
He loves to be around other kids his age.
CONS
I'm not ready. I have been excited about every milestone he has hit, but this sending him off to school is hard. I didn't think it would be, but what can I say, he's my little buddy and is pretty much with me all the time.
We're having a hard time with potty training. My goal is to get it done by his 3rd birthday, but we'll see.
He's young for his class. Birthday is the end of August.
He has a hard time sitting still to work on projects. He doesn't really like to do things like play with playdough, color, fingerpaint, or do puzzles on his own for more than like 5-10 minutes.
$$$$$$ it adds up.
He still needs a nap after lunch.

If you know my son, do you think he will be ready for preschool this fall?

UGGGHHH

I wish my hair was this long again. Really would someone please remind me why I cut off over 12 inches of hair that I should have know would never come back? Here's my dilemma: I really want to grow my hair out, but the last "trim" I got was soooo BAD I think I might have to start over again. I don't know what to do. I really do have other more important matters to attend to. Really like the mental battle about whether NSHS class of 99 should have a 10 year reunion. Someone should have told me 10 years ago that being senior class president came with this lifetime burden of decision making. What do you think?
